IT PROJECT MANAGER
Location: Remote, with preference given to those living within a 60-minute drive to our headquarters in White Bear Lake, MN

PURPOSE OF POSITION: This newly created position will be responsible for overseeing and executing various technology projects from initiation to completion. The initial project will be managing website redesigns for Pheasants Forever and Quail Forever. This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and strategic planning abilities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and under budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for project planning and execution, leadership and coordination, risk, budget, and resource management, stakeholder communication, and quality assurance/testing
  • Monitor progress, formulate, and effectively manage IT project timelines and budgets, ensuring project milestones & deadlines are met and properly communicated
  • Facilitate regular project team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions
  • Identify roadblocks and develop risk mitigation and avoidance efforts
  • Communicate with project stakeholders including external vendors, IT leaders, and executives
  • Gather, analyze, report, and improve IT metrics through continuous improvement efforts
  • Develop and implement quality assurance checks and audits to ensure standards are met
  • Evaluate, facilitate and communicate project changes and related budget impacts
  • Assist in defining and implementing an Enterprise Project Management strategy (ie: Agile) within the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail, including excellent organizational & multitasking skills
  • Possess a strong technical background, including knowledge of software development, network infrastructure, and IT architecture
  • Demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with multiple departments, teammates, and stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds
  • Resolve conflicts and foster a collaborative working environment
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to team members to keep them motivated
  • Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills including analyzing project data & metrics
  • Be able to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and environments
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Project Management strategies. Formal training in specific EPMs is a plus (Agile-certified, etc)
  • Proficiency in project management tools and project management software is preferred

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Four-year degree and a minimum of 2 years of team and project management experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
  • Professional certifications (PMP - Project Management Professional or Agile-certified) are a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently

  • Overnight travel for conferences, national team and other staff meetings, National Pheasant Fest & Quail Classic, trade shows and other partner events
  • 5% travel annually

Compensation and Benefits
Starting pay range $60,000 - $80,000. Competitive salary offered based on qualifications.  The Organization offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Student Loan Assistance program of up to $200/month for eligible employees.
  • Paid Time Off accrued at 15 days (120 hours) per year for new employees (increasing after 3 years).
